Critiques
There were many positives from the presentations so far. The thing I liked the most from presentations was when the activities helped me understand the topic even more. Whether it was a video about the topic, a worksheet, or something hands-on that the presenters gave to us to help us understand their topic. Some things I did not like about the presentations was when people would either read directly from the powerpoint or directly from the notes, making no eye contact with the class. I also didn't like some of the videos, some were very lengthy and didn't catch my attention. One thing I learned from the presentations that I will use as an educator is the electronic portfolios. They are a very useful tool and becoming more and more popular in classrooms today. Another thing I learned from the presentations is that as teachers we should look to use technology and integrate into our classrooms rather than being intimidated by it. The last topic I learned that seemed the most useful was assistive technology. There are many students with disabilities both physical and mental and these tools can be vital for their success in the classroom.
